Set in South Boston, this play is especially valuable for high school students as it addresses the consequences of decisions the lead character made as a teenager, that have powerfully affected her life ever since. When Margie, loses her job, she turns to an old boyfriend from the neighborhood, now a successful doctor, hoping he’ll help her make a fresh start. This wickedly funny play from Pulitzer Prize winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire, is an insightful story of class, luck and how our early choices can reverberate throughout our lives.
