The Public Theatre
Currently in its 17th Season, The Public Theatre, Lewiston/Auburn's Professional Theatre, was recently voted "BEST THEATRE COMPANY" for the fourth time in the Portland Phoenix Readers' Poll, and the "NUMBER ONE GEM" in Lewiston/Auburn in The Sun-Journal.
The Public Theatre is one of five Equity theatres in Maine and boasts the lowest ticket prices for any Equity theatre in the state with a top ticket price of only $18. Hiring the finest professional actors from New York City to Los Angeles, The Public Theatre presents a wide selection of first-rate professional performances from October through May.
Even with regularly sold-out performances, ticket sales account for only 40% of our annual operating expenses. Proceeds from this event will help enable us to keep our tickets affordable to all.
